Gage Steinkamp

On December 7, 2024, just hours after celebrating Archie High School’s state football championship win, senior Gage Steinkamp was involved in a tragic rollover crash on Route B east of Archie, Missouri. The car crossed the center line and overturned, ejecting Gage and another passenger. One of his teammates, fellow senior Miles Humbird, was killed in the accident, while Gage suffered severe injuries, including a traumatic brain injury.

Gage was airlifted to the hospital, where he began a long and difficult recovery. His fight for healing has been marked by courage and determination, with the support of his family, friends, and the Archie community. Tributes poured in for all the families affected, and Archie High School later renamed its track meet in Miles’s honor, a lasting tribute born from tragedy.
