On April 7, 2024, Deputy Justin Ward was struck head-on by a drunk driver while on duty with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department. The crash left him with life-threatening injuries, including a traumatic brain injury and multiple broken bones, and he spent eight days in a coma. Through months of surgeries and therapy, Justin fought with grit and faith until he could return to duty in July 2025.
